BioBorn in Boston. Moved to Indianapolis when I was 6 months old. Grew up there until I went to Ithaca, NY for school. Then back to Indy for graduate school. Worked there till May of 2004 when I got a job in the DC area, so I moved out here.
I'm a biochemist by profession, currently working as a gene jockey. (of sorts) I'm a geek. May not be a "transcended geek" like some, but I can call Cher a cyberman like the best of them.
Love Doctor Who, Star Trek, and just getting into Firefly. But I can also laugh at myself over it without much problem. I know where my geek-dom stands.
Single, but always willing to hang out with cool people.
Always trying to self-improve in one way or another... usually not in the gym though. *grin*
Buddha said "Desire is the root of all pain." Words to live by. Which is odd, considering I'm Catholic. So, I try not to desire, but I'll be darned if I don't drool over Adam Baldwin on occasion. WOOF!
Don't ask me about being a pup. I find it very hard to explain because I'm not your typical pup and it's just so inate. I am particular about who I let see that, as it's very dear to me. I instinctively bark at sportbikes I see on the road. I always wanna run up to other pup's and real dogs to play, but rarely get to. I cock my head to the side and make funny noises when I see something that confuses me. And I howl when I'm upset.
I'm very loyal to my friends and love them dearly. I would give my dogcollar for them, even the ones I've driven away. What's life without friends to share it with? I consider friends to be closer than family, and being called a dog the highest compliment I know.
I guess the biggest thing I want is to belong somewhere. I never really feel like I belong, so those people who include me in their family get my true loyalty.
I'm sure there will be more as time goes on.
